Yes you can! My son started a lawn mowing business when he was 14 years old. I had to help him at times with hauling his mower and weedeater but that rascal made about $3,000 one summer.

The best advice I could give is to do a good job and show up when you say you will. People appreciate that and will call you again and again. They will also tell their friends and family about you after they see you providing a good service.

This is the time of year to get started before all the mowing jobs are gone.

Happy Mowing!!

P.S. -- Unless you can use your family mower until you build up a little money it might cost your about $300 for basic equipment. You can always find used items on Craigslist.com

Um, for the person who said that one of the answers were giving out false informtion: YOU, ARE THE ONE THAT IS WRONG!

You are allowed to work at 14 at fast-food outlets IF YOU HAVE YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION A SIGNED NOTE ALLOWING YOU TO WORK. Otherwise, you must be 14 and 9 months.

it is harder for 14 year olds to get a job, but it is possible.
you can only work at fast food establishments, and possibly camps helping out other children, younger than you.
