Hi!

To find companies hiring felons in your area, go to http://www.governmen... and find your local employment office.

They should be able to put you on the right track to finding a job. I've also heard that United Way and the Salvation Army will employ those with felony records.

Good luck!

I know that a lot of states are equal opportunity employers, it usually states on an app that if you are charged with a felony.. etc.. that your consideration for employment is not affected.

courtrose412, that's because they HAVE to say that. Doesn't mean that it's true. Having vast experience in this field, I can say that the only reason applications say that is because they have to say it. Most employers do not want to hire felons and this is their way of saying "We do not want to hire people with felonies, but we have to seem as though we do want to".

Try being a felon and filling out that application, making sure to specify that you do have a felony and see what their response is.
