Jewelry question

Me and my brother Asked by asdfg63plus1 11 months ago, 2 answers.

Well, my mom passed away 4 years ago, and I have a friend that lives in California, I've never met her, but we've become really good friends in the years we've been talking. I want to send her a gift for Christmas, but I don't have any money to buy her...

anything, so I was thinking of giving her a piece of my mom's old jewelry as a gift. I know that if she had it, it would get worn a lot more than if it was sitting in a house with three guys. So I was wondering if you thought it would be a good idea, or if I should find her something else as a gift?

just me. (: Answered by sftbllfrk13 on Dec 17, 2008, 12:50PM

hmm, thats a really hard question. you have a good point that it would get more use if she had it. but think of the sentimental value it has to you. and your decision can be made based on that..

Well, yea, it'll have sentimental value, but that'll also make it worth more as a gift. Not like value worth, but like I don't know, you know what I mean? There is still a good amount of jewelry of her's that we have, so I don't think one thing would have that much of an affect. I told one friend about my idea and she didn't think it was a good idea because I've never met her, but I don't think that really has anything to do with it, I know she isn't like a fake or whatever, we've been talking for at least a year.
