I'm a proud atheist and I mean no disrespect to anyone with this question...But they say jesus christ walked on water ... Another angle can be said as it was hot and humid and travelers were tired and weary, they saw jesus walking towards them and from...

I highly doubt it because it was parshely dark, (There was a storm brewing), they were going strait through the sea to get to the otherside, so land would be a little far off, and afterward it says Peter walked on water and even told of him falling.

about the water, maybe there was a flat stone in the water, which he was standing on and people saw him from a distance and thought he could walk on water. I dont think they had contacts in that time.

Either you believe or you don't.
If you believe, your mind is closed off to any other explanation.
If you don't, then half a dozen explanations can be hypothesized - shallow water near the shore, sand bar far from the shore, fabrication, etc.

Personally, I view the 'Bible' and 'Aesop's Fables' as cut from the same cloth.
A gathering of life lessons to help people pass on social truisms to successive generations

I think the question would not be so much how Jesus did it, but 'how did Peter do it?'

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.

23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,

24 but the boat was already a considerable distance[a] from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. It's a ghost, they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.

28 Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.

29 Come, he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save me!

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt?

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, Truly you are the Son of God.

Maybe it was ice happy

The boat was far from land. But really I'm surprised someone would even ask this. I mean either you don't believe any of it or you do and then you say, heh, that's the Son of God it's easy.

We know nothing of this alleged event accept what is told in the gospel, and that is not an accurate historical record at all.

This is just another miracle that the writers of the new testament stole from earlier pagan religions. There were many pagan gods that could walk on water.

SELDERZ- its a matter of faith and believing.

while I think this works for some people...
I for one cannot blindly follow a bunch of followers because they say its right.

im not saying its wrong for all those who are offended by this. I am only stating my opinion, in saying that how do you know any of whats in the bible is true.

all thats in there could be tales and beliefs of just regular old people who thought they knew what was right.

just a bunch of hypocracy is what it is.

ok about the jesus thing I may be wrong im sure someone will correct me if I am but the closest writings to when jesus was alive are from bout 200 years after he died so that would be 200 yeard of storys being told before it was written down so in my opinion you can not take anything like him walking on water as fact , for all we know jesus could have been a ginger dwarf with on leg and a foundness for male hookers but that was not what was written you get what im trying to say here
