I think it's the environment change that's changing your dog's behavior. Having another dog around is a mental distraction, and has broken his comfortable routine. Be firm, and consistant, discpline the dog for accidents (and reward them for being good) and the behavior will correct itself in a few weeks. Just be consistant, and the maltipoo dog will start going again without accident.

Why is my maltipoo acting out?
We have a male maltipoo that will be a year in Aug. We recently have bought another maltipoo but this is a female. We crate train the dogs. When its time to go potty rather its been 15 minutes or 5 hours since he last went out he is urinating as I am...
putting the leash on him to let him out. This has only started in the last couple weeks. What is the problem????
