Iz it wrong to date my friends ex-boyfriend?

I have a problem my friend has dated this boy who she just broke up with and while they were dating me and him were friends but now I have some how got a thing for him and he has a thing for me.He's been flirting with me and I flirt back but I dont know...

if we shud date cause hes my friends ex-boyfriend. Should I date him or not. Plzzz help!

why they broke up.
how long they dated.
how long ago they broke up.
you need to ask her what she thinks.
how would you feel if the situation was turned around?

I wouldn't date him unless your friend says it's absolutely okay. If your friend still likes this boy you shouldn't do it because it could (and most likely would) come between you and your best friend. So try talking to your friend and see what she thinks about you dating him. In the end it's up to you. You have to pick between your best friend or a boy who probably won't last for more than a couple of months.

Ask yourself do I want to lose a friend? If you want to hurt someone and lose a friend and maybe make some enemies, then do it...but that's if you do it behind her back.. Talk to her and tell her and see what she says. If she says no, then respect that. If she says yes...then what's stopping you?
I wouldn't do it though. It seems kinda low and wrong to date a friend's ex. But that's just me. What if they said sure and then got really bitter if they saw you having fun?
