How can I get black dye out of my hair?

My hair is naturally brown, but I wanted it darker brown so I went to the shop and brought a darker brown, but because my hair is already brown its gone kind of a black colour. I realy dont like it and I want my natural brown back again! can you sugest anything to get this dark brown/black out my hair?!?

I am a stylist. Please trust me and wait a couple of weeks for it to lighten up before you go around bleaching it and color stripping it. Browns always appear darker at first but they do lighten up.

I colored over myhair a medium brown just a couple of weeks ago and it's finally starting to lighten up to what it should be.

Give it a couple of weeks, maybe even three or four.

Ths is going to sound weird but wash your hair with dish doap for a few weeks. This will help strip the colour. You'll want to use a good conditioner afterward because it will strip yourhair of moisture as well as colour.

Ehh..please don't wash your hair with dishsoap, laundry detergent or anthing like that. Nothing will actually strip the color out anyway. What it will do is lighten up the excess color on the pigmentation of your hair a wee bit faster. But it's not worth it. Those chemicals are terrible for your hair. Just shampoo and condition regularly and give it some time. It will ligthen up.

Dish soap is no worse for your hair than half he chemicals you put in it at the hairsalon to colour, perm etc. (or from Dandruff Shampoo for that matter which can be v harsh) It will help strip the colour. I've done it and lived to tell the tale.

wash your hair with shampoo a lot itl make it a bit dry but itl get the coloring lighter.. and the sun will have a lot to do with it.. also put lemon juice in your hair and let the sun do its job. youl be a brunette in no time!
