What if I'm not allowed to listen to rap but I love it?

I just got in trouble and my mom says that im not alowed to listen to rap but its my favorite type of music what should I do?

Try to find something that sort of resembles the beat that rap has?? I really don't know.. try Hip Hop!?!?!?

Listen to her - sounds like your Mom is looking after your best interests (negative influence).

Tell you mom why you like it. If you like it for the cursing and 'bad stuff' then I can't help you there. But a friend of mine loves rap and his mom [this was ages ago] didn't like it. He explained to his mom that it was all about the beat and being able to 'flow' or something like that [I don't understand his lingo] and his mom was like oh, right whatever [except not in those worlds] she understood him and let him be.

try somethin different that has a little rap in it, but it's still hip hop pop or rock. somethin like that.

mom's or dad's really dont understand rap muisc!! now im not sayin that all rap is good because it ant some is soo songz are soo nasty!! but then agin some ant, so you just really hve to pick out the songz that's okay to listen to and then tell you'r mom to listen to it and see if it's okay with her! I would do it anyway but im not tell you to do that it's just if you want to!!

Ask you mum what she doesn't like about it, & see where you can go from there. See if you can find some more appropriate rap that you can both agree on.

If your mum dusnt let you listen to it because it has swearing in it ... get the clean versions of songs!! But if she just dusnt like hip hop music and is stopping you from listening to it because of that, then she has no right really !! lol x
