Why is my vagina itching?

okay my vaginaaa has been itching like crazy for the past like, 3 or 4 days. and its nasty and annoying. does anyone know why this is happening?

A yeast infection is what it sounds like. It can go away on its own but recomended that you get treatment. Either OTC or prescription med. No protien is being produced down there. Us girls naturally carry yeast and another hormone that keeps yeast under control down there but when the immune system is not strong enough to keep that balance under control a yeast infection will result. I'm a nurse and pharmacist.

Yeast infection would be my guess. Speak with your doctor or mother for a medicated cream.

i had that same problem last year... its a yeast infection. it will never go away until u get treated by a doctor. it will just keep getting worse and worse because the yeast is still growing. pretty soon, u'll be going to tha restroom every 5 min jus 2 scratch because u cant take it anymore. at first, i wasnt going to tell anyone, but then it just got out of control so i told my momma. tha doctor perscribed me this pill nad it went away.

I have the same problem right now, and it's been going on for WEEKS, and I mean, more than two months. I've asked my mother for advice, so she bought me something to pee on to see if it's yeast infection, AND IT'S NOT. I have no idea what to do. We can't afford to go the doctor, and I am type one diabetic. And worst of all, it itches the worst right now... and I'm on my period. Help me as well, please.

What I can suggest is to ask my mother to still get an over the counted medication for yeast infection. It may work.

I too have the itching but when I have periods ow it has stopped.
