Is this pc fast?

Asked by yopmemoma1 about 1 month ago, 3 answers.

I wanna get a PC with a 2.66Ghz processor and 4GB of RAM. Not sure about the graphics card. Is that fast? Will it be able to play some demanding games and be able to smoothly multi-task?

A single core? I'm thinking its a duo for 2.66, anyways a 2.6ghz single is slow, duo is reliable, triple is great, 4gigs of ram is excellent, but for games the video card is the main contributor, drop me a funmail if you need more info.

I would not settle for any less than 3.0 ghz at least dual core 2, and at least 8 gb of ram either ddr2/3 at the height speed possible I.e. 16000+ to meet todays specifications and demands for software applications and multi tasking. stick to a graphics card that has at least 1gb other wise your just wasting your time. and I would advice go for well known brands or gaming brands such as intel/amd for processor, graphics card ati/nivida, and memory corsair/kingston/ocz/crucial/etc

it wont be long before 128bit become standard in motherboards and software, Microsoft is making sever software for 128-bit at present which will be in the next windows sever operating system. and the max ram at present is 24gb but you can get a super computer to use at home that uses 64gb of ram, just depends on money, the more you have got to burn the better performance of computer you will have its the same as cars.
