Is this normal or should I consider surgery?

I am 17 years old, and I have what are called inverted nipples. To me they are very embarrassing, so much so that I have never been able to go very far with a guy. I just want to know if this is normal? or if I should consider reconstructive surgery? and if any of you out there have them, or know someone who has them, and what their experiences have been, if they have been embarrassed to and have reconstructive surgery or if they are fine with them and shouldn't be worried? Please, please help me with your great advice! Thank you alll

Ell: All girls and women are completely different. There isn't a vagina that looks just like another, and breasts are the same deal. There are different shapes, sizes and shades. It is completely normal and you shouldn't be worried about it at all. Any guy who actually cared about that, would be a guy that you didn't want. If there was something small different about them, would you care? Always demand the respect you deserve, you are nothing less than anyone else and you shouldn't be treated like less. If you treat a guy like a king, he should treat you like a queen, and if he doesn't, then he isn't worth the dirt on your feet. You're completely normal, it is common, and you should never be worried about what a guy will think of you physically, especially not to the point of getting surgery. Good luck.

Inverted nipples are not as rare as you think, we hear about this all the time. However, you do need to have your breast checked regularly...during your physicals because there has been some problems reported with inverted nipples. Surgery for this is said to be very successful and if you this is something you want consult a doctor.

my girlfriend had that...and yes it is common youd be surprized just how common.
but um she didint have a problem with them...she liked it thought it was so cool...lol.I love her.
but she got them peiced,and that I guess made them look more 'normal'I put that in quotes,because it really is so common...anyways if you dont like em try surgery..or peirce em...or my advice...learn to love em...women always seem to find something wrong with their bodies...and remember no one is a worst judge than yourself...and if they are...fu*k em!!!lol

I love the answers here form the guys!!! You are right on with your advice. If it is something that is seriously troubling you and you can't get your head around it then you may want to consult a good, credible plastic surgeon. But I personally would take pride in being a little different. It's the small things that make each of us special.
