Why did I stop breathing?

last week on a thursday night I was with my boyfriend and one mintue I was breathing and then next I stopped breathing.
why did this happen?

He took your breath away!

It was probably something he said or did to make you basically stop and ponder the situation, could be a good sign, like he said something so awesome you had to think about it, OR he said something that scared you so bad you had to think about it.

One of the two would seem the best answer for this, to me anyways.

I have fainting problems so that could be a reason
