Is this nonsense poem funny or just pathetic?

I really can't tell

my life is a plughole
and I am the drain
my cat's been run over,
my boyfriend's to blame

my dog has the runs,
and my budgie the flu
theyr'e all hyopondriac
what do I do?

my licence expired
and the cops pulled me up
they said,'going somwhere?'
I managed a ,'nup'

they took me downtown
and they locked me up tight
no one paid the bail,
so I stayed there all night

when a kind-hearted lady
took pity on me
I thanked her profusely
and drove off with glee

when I got home I found
on the wheel of my car
the little old lady'd been
stuck to the tar

and all that was left,
her untimely remains,
was a goldfish callled Lyle,
and some old cattle brains

what bizzare sweet old granny
would hoard such a mess
the answer I found,
in an old tin sea-chest

she'd lived in Antarctica,
swum down the Nile
(where she'd picked up the goldfish,
that she had named Lyle)

And on her trip home
via the Argentine
she saw, in the distance
a dead cattle team

she gave tham a burial,
a sweet thing to do
then went on her way
planning to make brain stew

any ideas on how to keep going? I have an ending, but I need a middle!

got any ideass on:

what was in the tin chest?
do I make it clear that she picked up the cattle brain in Argentina?
how do I tie in the theme of the person who is depressed?

if this is a gross interpretation of art, please tell me so. the literary world would thank you profusely

Not really sure what to suggest, but I do think it's funny, and I do like it.
