If you have never had sex, you could bleed- some people hardly do at all, some people bleed a lot. There's really nothing you can do about it, you can keep it from being too messy to clean up by having a towel underneath you or a sheet you don't care about...but to be honest, here's the main thing: if you're going to be embarrassed, it means you're probably not comfortable enough with the person and you should wait until you're with someone you'll feel totally comfortable with- no matter what happens for your first time.

the reason you bleed is because your hymen is broken and your vaginal opening is being stretched. when i had sex for the first time, i didn't bleed at all until afterward, and it was only a few drops and it was on my underwear. and if your with someone experienced even a little bit he'll know what to expect. sex should be fun and bleeding is something that's normal the first time you have sex. You should be comfortable with the person youre goin to share yourself with so that shouldn't be an issue. hope that helped.
