Is it weird doing something for your dogs birthday?

OK so my friends dog is 1 in 3 months and she said shes going to have a party and then my uva friend was like thats weird...

Nope, a lot of dog/pet owners celebrate their pets birthday! They ARE part of the family after all! Some people even get custom-made dog-friendly birthday cakes for their dogs. Some people even invite their dog's doggy friends for the party, so it's like a big party for dogs with little party hats on their heads :P

For some people their pet is like their child. So I would say no it is not weird. To each their own, and more power to them. Sounds like a lucky dog to me. Especially in this world of neglect and abuse of animals, and the shelters being full of dogs and cats that are unwanted. Besides, who doesn't love a great party? Go and have fun, and support your friend. There are worse things.

I noticed on the news the other day that Perez Hilton did a video blog of his dog's birthday party...it's very common with dog lovers. I've never done it, but I had a friend that did.

NO!!! I Throw a huge party for my dog evry stinkin year and invite the whole school. I buy her a cake, she gets clothes and toys and furniature. she also gets a spa day on her b-day.
