Is it true that nuts are bad for you?

me.. Asked by estrella about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I have heard somewhere that nuts especially salted nuts in tin cans can give you a double chin...is it true? I thought nuts are healthy and necessary for diet...but people say that nuts can make you put on more weight...

No. Nuts have the healthiest kind of fat (monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat), which are good for you and have low amounts of saturated fat and cholestrol.

I mean they have the right kinds of fat, but they're stil pretty fatty and have a lot of calories... Check the can for calories and fat content... And no they're not necessary for diet (some people are allergic to nuts) unless maybe you're getting something specific out of them you dont get from your other foods...
