I was in a similar situation. I had great grades and was always good at science. My Sr. year of highschool my banddirector told me that I had enough talent to go all the way with music. My parents really pressured me to study a practical field rather than music but I stuck to my guns. Years later I did change fields and go into computer science but I still wouldn't change a thing. My mom still talks like the years I spent persuing music were a waste of time and money but at the time it was what I had to do. If I hadn't followed my heart I'd have spent the rest of my life wondering what if?

It's not too late to change what you want to do! If you love acting go for acting, but it's always good to have something else to fall back on just in case something doesn't work out.

You should be careful when you take this serious decision, because sometime when you like something but that not mean you are good at it. But when you are good at it and you like it then why not.

If you love what you do, it's not a job and even you you fail here and there, you'll hang in there until you're successful.

Being an actor can start at any age it doesn't mean they have to start as children. Have you thought of maybe going to college to study to become a scientist, and also taking extra classes in acting? Try it. God bless

You have your entire life ahead of you, you're sisteen! If you are dedicated and serious about this then you will find a way to do it. Talk to people, get all of the information you can, join the drama club at your school, if it doesn't have one, then try to get one started. Let everyone know you're serious by doing something about it, learn as much about the buisness as you can, remember there are no small parts, only small actors. Take what you can get, you're going to have to start out small, step by step, day by day. Acting school can only take you so far, you could go to University, major in theatere and minor in science, explore all of your options before you make any rash decisions. I wish you the best of luck, remember to follow your heart, chase your dreams and even more importantly, it's never too late for anything in life, CARPE DIEM!!!

do what you want for your future not what your parents want, they control their future not yours, just make sure thats clear in their heads. 16 is nowhere near to late, some people become actors when there much older than you. good luck x :]
