Can i take natrol melatonin sleeping pills when i'm on zoloft?

I take 200mg of zoloft and a natural sleeping pill every night. is that okay? and also, can you be addicted to natural sleeping pills?

well I think it is couse it will be like you cant sleep with out it if you dont take it your body get used to it or w/e

my nursing drug guide doesn't show any drug-herbal reactions with melatonin, however; there is a drug-herbal reaction between zoloft and st. johns wart. as far as addiction, it is highly unlikely due to the fact that it is a naturally occuring substance in the body, however; anything can be addictive if abused or used wrong. Always ask your doctor before taking anything over the counter because even though it doesn't say there is an interaction in the drug guide your doctor may have reasons for you not to take it.

no no no do not do that zoloft is powerful and mixing different medicatons even if it is natural can seriously cause damage to your body and you can get really bad side affects to. I was on Zoloft and Prozac at the same time and I used to take stress reilef pills and I got really bad side affects. I gained about 20 pounds had really bad headaces etc talk to your doctor before you take it

I've been taking melatonin for about over a year due to sleeping problems. it is non addictive..so that you wont have to worry about.. I only take it when I have really really bad nights... but.. if you do.. make sure you take it about an hour before you want to fall asleep... there are 3 different doses you can get.. 3, 6, and 9. I usually buy the 6 and take 2.. but thats just me.. start with just one.. see how your body reacts to it.. thats the safest bet..especially if your on other stuff.. I've been able to coincide this with other medication... never had zoloft..so I dont know... but try one.. then if it works.. go for it.
