Is it my fault that he killed his self

My b/f just killed his self like 5 days ago and a week before it happened I broke up with him He lift a note saying it was my falt tha he had killed his self and I feel like really bad..help[

Hmmm I find it hard to believe someone could write something like this on an advice site if it was true...

But if your telling the truth then... of course you are going to feel bad, but I do think it was very drastic of him to commit suicide over a break up? Still you can't help but feel guilty especially if he left a note with that message on it. It wasn't your fault, it was his own decision to take his life.
