Is it a sign of being pregnant?

alright well...I was wondering if when you get pregnant you bleed. I just recently had sex and we did use a condom, but im just worried because its not my time to have my period. So if anybody has any advice...god I could use some!

it's called implantation bleeding, but that happens a few days after sex. it could be that he was too rough or your hymen was broke. the only way is to take a test if you miss your period. or five days before you period starts.

thank you katydid747 but im a week late and the bleeding is really heavy and doesnt seem like it could be a period at all! and what exactly is implantation bleeding?

some girls have blood vessles coser to the opening and sometimes when the guy is rough it breaks and you bleed a little.

no some girls have vessels closer to their opening...and if the guy is rough then it can break and you bleed...but if your not sure...go to the docter

Your period probably was late, and the sex kick started it.

(Implantation bleeding - because the wall of the uterus is thickly covered with a blood rich lining, when a fertilized ovum attaches to the wall, it causes some bleeding. Sometimes so small that it isn't noticed, other times more so.)

But since you used a condom and (presumably) it didn't fall off or break, it probably is the period starting late. Check in two weeks with a home pregnancy test if would help your peace of mind.
