Is he interested?

There is this guy I like, he is shy and is so hard to read. We talk together all the time and flirt, but it is so hard to tell if he's interested. Whenever I go rock climbing with him and his friends he always ignores me, until we are alone together. I know it's not because he is embarassed of me because his friends know me and like me. Also, he is usually a really quiet and shy person, but a lot of the time when he is around me he becomes a totally different person (in a good way)...he just gets really hypera and playful. And when we talk together he really listens and always looks me in the eyes. I am just really confused, my friends' think he likes me, but also cannot read him. Please help!

Maybe he is just scared to show any interest in you because of his friends. Maybe he doesn't want them to know he likes you because let's face it some friends take interest in the people you like if they know you like them... I guess the best way to know is the next time you guys are alone talk to him. Do it kind of in a not noticable way... name one of your friends and ask him a question from his point of view like...'So and so thinks so an so likes her because they talk all the time and he genuinly seems interested in what she is saying but when there are other people around he hardly talks to her.' He gives you his answer and then I guess just asking him if he would act the same way. I know it is hard to read guys...the one I am with was kind of hard to read but in the end he came out and told me how he felt...just ask!

I do totally agree with the other person. Just be yourself. But really you need to talk to him to see if he is intrested in you. I have a guy that I really like to. He really listens to me a lot when I talk with him. Just ask around with his friends or your friends to find out. It is your choice to do what is right.Good luck!!!
