I personally do believe in God. For many reasons but a few I will share with you are:
1. Matter can neither be created nor destroyed. So something higher (not made matter) would have to have the ability to do this (God). And as for the human enzyme to come together by chance? It is 1 in 10 to the power of 40,000, which is more than the amount of atoms in the universe.
2. Oxygen and Fire were created perfectly. If there was 1% more oxygen fire would not burn. If there was 1% less oxygen, fire would burn unconrollably. For the amount of things in this world that were created perfectly is impossible to happen by chance. If you threw a handful of balls into the air, the chances of them falling into a perfect circle is 1 in 1,000,000,000,000.
3. Science itself (as much as it likes to prove evolution) proves evolution is not true. People say religion are filled with many contridictions. I have questioned my own beliefs and have been satisfied with my answers. I have no contridictions yet Scientists with their evolution theory, are filled with them. (this can be found just doing some research.)
Chimps DNA is 96-97% like humans, Rats DNA is 98-99% like humans, so the similarities in DNA prove nohing. Also things do evolve, but no matter what they always remain what they are. For eg: Flies. They evolve and mutate but no matter how much they evolve they will always remain flies. Bacteria evolves and mutates but will always remain bacteria.
Also:
Evolution has never been observed.
Evolution violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
There are no transitional fossils.
The theory of evolution says that life originated, and evolution proceeds, by random chance.
Evolution is only a theory; it hasn't been proved.
There are many more reasons that I could give but in the end it is up to you what you believe. It takes life experiences as well as research to develop the answer that suits you. People could say 'yes' or 'no' but in the end its your choice.
If you have only 'heard' about God, then why don't you take the next step and read up about Him. Do some research. Only you can decide what is real for you and what isn't.
I believe he is real but different people think different thanqs. Like tha lady said, you have to have faith. I wus rasied to believe in God but I culd use more faith. It just seems he's too qud to be true and like how can one person do so much! But just pray on it and hope that you'll get an answer:]
yes of course god is real.
if you want to know if god is real you should go to someone religious or a church. not just somebody who doesnt care and hasnt even given Christianity a try. what do they have to lose anyways? I think if you go to church that youd really benefit from it
trust me.
Everybody has their own opinion if God is real or not, what I hear is that you MUST ave faith that he is and once you have it,he's completely real and you shouldn't let anyone else tell you other wise. Me personally,I don't believe in God,but when I did, nothing really happened, everything I did was by me or by help.
its all up to you. its your choice. do you think hes real?
it says in the bible that a way to no that he is is to think of this...
there were 40 men who wrote the bible. and alll agreed. do you think that 40 men will all agree on the same thing? not possible. god told em what to write.
try going to church. you dont have to be any special religion. just try a Christian church.
Christians are ones who believe but dont have any set religion.
also try lettig Jesus into your heart. go to a church and have them tell you about letting him in and being reborn.
hope I helped
~Ashley~
it is your opinion.
I believe in god, because things have happn in my life that are unexplainable.
no one should force you to believe in him.
my parents dont force me to go to church, I go on my own(sometimes...) and if they did force me I probablly wudnt have had faith In god. but I do.
it is your choice to belive in him, and choose w/e religion you want.
but yes he is real=]
some people have different views.
Is there a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow? If you think there might be, why not search out rainbows and see.
Are there angels on the ends of pins? If you think there might be, why not put a pin under a microscope and just check it out?
You don't have to just guess. Figure out how to test the claims you hear about gods, and check them out for yourself. If the tests fail, then you know you can classify those particular claims as BS. Once you've done this a few dozen times, you'll probably quit thinking there's anything to all these god claims.
***1. Matter can neither be created nor destroyed.***
Actually, matter and energy are interconvertible - just look at the theory of relativity.
***So something higher (not made matter) would have to have the ability to do this (God).***
False dichotomy. Even if there had to be an origin of the universe, that doesn't mean that a 'higher power' had to create it, or that it had to be the Christian god.
***And as for the human enzyme to come together by chance? It is 1 in 10 to the power of 40,000, which is more than the amount of atoms in the universe.***
But it didn't, and nobody is claiming that it did. Humans evolved from simpler creatures, which evolved from simpler creatures yet, and so forth.
***2. Oxygen and Fire were created perfectly. If there was 1% more oxygen fire would not burn. If there was 1% less oxygen, fire would burn unconrollably.***
Wait, what? This claim doesn't even make sense. 1% more or less oxygen in what? In a particular place where fire is currently burning? In the universe?
***3. Science itself (as much as it likes to prove evolution) proves evolution is not true. People say religion are filled with many contridictions. I have questioned my own beliefs and have been satisfied with my answers. I have no contridictions yet Scientists with their evolution theory, are filled with them. (this can be found just doing some research.)***
Really? Like what?
***Chimps DNA is 96-97% like humans, Rats DNA is 98-99% like humans, so the similarities in DNA prove nohing.***
The often-quoted statement that we share over 98% of our genes with apes [...] actually should be put another way. That is, there is more than 95% to 98% similarity between related genes in humans and apes in general. [...] Similarities between mouse and human genes range from about 70% to 90%, with an average of 85% similarity but a lot of variation from gene to gene

***Evolution has never been observed.***
False. It's been observed repeatedly. And even if it hadn't - stellar evolution has never been directly observed, but it's still a sound and testable theory.
***Evolution violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics.***
No it doesn't, and if it did, so would every other activity that locally decreases entropy, like tidying your room, or making ice-cubes.
***There are no transitional fossils.***
Yes there are. Practically every fossil is transitional, in fact, insofar as they represent a species that is no longer extant and is an ancestor of a species that is.
***Evolution is only a theory; it hasn't been proved.***
Just like gravity, thermodynamics, relativity, and everything else in science. Nothing in science is _proved_, it just has the weight of evidence behind it.
God wants you to get to know him personally, and you are the only one who can do this. Noone can do it for you, as you are an individual, you and you alone, get to know God.
Start with your bible, and pray before attempting to read it, just pour your heart out to God, he knows your thoughts anyway, but, he likes you to bring them to him, in faith, so you can have interaction.
Ask him to help you understand his word... he can and he will.
Also, there are many versions of the bible available today, go to a
Christian bookstore, and check them out, asking the salesperson for recommendations.you will find one that is just right for you.
as you read it, ask God to make himself real to you.
then, once he does, you will not have to wonder or doubt.
many blessings...
(***The complete lack of evidence***)
The complete lack of evidence
Dear friend, Who said that there is a complete lack of evidence,
If you know the internal structure of Each organ of our body, its functioning, purpose etc you cannot deny the Supreme Creator, Most High and Most Merciful behind all of these. Take the Example of Kidney, Brain, Digestion system, you cannot refuse the Almighty God.
Further More Go through the vast and Miraculous Universe, Every planet rotate in the fixed orbit with out a chance of a mere loop hole. Can anyone with a naked eye and brain deny the Designer and Sustainer behind this.
The Holy Quran(36) says:-
37. And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
38. And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
39. And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
40. It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
So Do not deny the God and Do not be among the loosers in the Hereafter. We have to face the Almighty God one by one,
If you know the internal structure of Each organ of our body, its functioning, purpose etc you cannot deny the Supreme Creator, Most High and Most Merciful behind all of these.
Well, I can actually, because Evolution explains all that. It also explains why we have several totally useless organs.
But suppose I thought it _did_ require a creator - why the particular one you're promoting? I don't see the connection.
I give no more creedance to the quran than I do the bible, so quoting from it means nothing to me. Complexity in nature is not evidence. The fact that it exists says nothing about how it came to be. And the universe is not all that perfect. There are many many anomolies, both cosmicly and biolgically.
You've to have faith that he's real
as the old saying goes faith is for those who don't wish to believe in truth
It's a personal choice
I personally don't choose to believe in anything in which I have to dedicate my time putting nothing more than faith into something in which there is no tangible proof
For the people stating that God cannot be proved or disproved, it wouldn't be the same if the circumstances were different, lets say nobody believed him. The central truth, rather than saying there's no proof for or against, would just be there's no proof that any God exist, it would be as simple as that. It's the belief in this being that gives him substance. It's as simple as that.
