Is getting your ears pierced painful?

Is getting your ears pierced painful? I've heard many people say different things, so I'd like to hear your opinions.

In my opinion... I don't really think it hurts. But different people might think else.

however my ears did get really red looking and felt really hot but it wasnt painfull

When my mum got her ears pierced her ears turned all red and puffy too!

but its worth it.

no I had mine done and I was scared of it hurting and I hardly felt anything

It hurts for just a sec- but nothing extreme, just like getting a shot.

hey once you make up your mind that you want to go for the piercing ...I swear it wont hurt at all...just imagine how good ull look with those cute earings or may be something flashy...the pain will go away ...take a lil care after the process..n it ill heal fast..use some antibiotic ointment or if olive oil is available its much better ...

the sound of the staple gun is like the scariest part. Then it kinda hurts for a minute, but the rest is smooth sailing! =D
