Is freeing my budgies a good idea?

Asked by taurus14 6 months ago, 10 answers.

I don't want, nor have the time to maintain to keep two budgies anymore. I've found out the hard way I'm not a bird person, and I absolutely HATE their constant screeching. I've put up with it for almost a year now, fed the ungrateful, loud beasts and...

all they do is poop and scream all day. I might sound harsh, but why don't you try it? SO: to the question. If I let my budgies out the window, is this a good idea? No one wants to buy them, so this is my other option.

uhm if you really want to kill them there are less cruel ways than simply starving them to death...

try this site, they've got thousands of adoption groups, I'm sure one of them is around your area http://www.petfinder.com/

NO!
Try putting them up for sale on a website made for selling and buying animals.
I suggest a website called http://www.kijiji.com or .ca
Hope I Helped :D

If you free them they will either be killed by another animal or stare to death. You might not like them, but that would be cruel. Find them a good home.
And do not get any more pets.
You don't sound like an animal person, nothing wrong with that, but you sould not have pets.

@utopia - I love animals and have a huge obsessino over them. I have owned over 10 hamsters in my life and they lived long and happy. I spoil my pets and love them to death. I currently have a kitty, and he is well taken care of. Birds - is a whole new experience. I admit to being a bad bird owner, but I care for them, just not love them. Please don't assume things.

Gee, why would I assume that you aren't a great pet owner.

You refer to your birds as ungrateful and beasts, say that you HATE them and that you are thinking about letting them go which would result in certain death because they are loud and you don't like them.

Hmmm..where in the world would I have gotten that idea...

Don't you have a 'creepy bird lady' in your neighborhood? Give 'em to her...
