Is a 4 year age difference too much?

I'm 13 and like this guy whos 17 he said he also likes me. We act really close, but he said he's not too sure on the age difference. Is 4 years really a big deal? and how can I persuade him that it isn't?

You can't persuade him it isn't unless he has some kind of mental deficiency, because it is too much of a difference.

When he hits 18, you become illegal.

At 13, you're just understanding the very minimal basics of what it's like to be with someone. You have no idea what it's like to be with someone who is 17 and you won't understand anything about his life.

Find someone your own age.

I feel it is wrong when you this young to be dating someone even 2 years older then you.

Your teen years are the years where you develope a personality, and your bodies are even still developing.

Im almost 19 and I just broke up with a 24 year old. Its about the same age difference for you guys, but the thing is, we're both adalts.

To be honest though, I didn't feel like he was any more matur then an 19 year old boy, except for the fact that he had plans and was busy all the time.

Your 13 years old, last year you wern't even considered a teenager. He was been for 4 years now.
You should wait until your an adalt, then that is when it doesn't matter and you wont think of the age difference.
Because if your thinking of it now, you know its wrong.

Well as a child it's not good at all.
My friends parents are 18 years apart.
but they are grown adults.
and..I have a friend thats 13, my age in the 7th grade. with me.
that is dating a 17 year old, emo guy.
Not thats evn worse.
But yeah, its a bug age dffrence 4 a child.
When you turn 18 and he's 21 thats when you too need to think about seeing each other.
really what 17 year old guy would want to date a 7th/8th grader?

I do not think it is a big age diffrence, im 14 and im dating an 18 year old, for about a year now. only you know how you feel and he knows what he feels so let things take course and do not try to pursaude gim to do anything hope I helped

Is 19 a big age difference to be with someone who is 15 or is about to turn 16. My friend has been dating this girl for a year now, he is 19 and she is 15. I feel that she is too young for him because she is really immature and has a lot to learn and he should just find someone his own age. What do you guys and gals think?

Okay so what you are telling me is that AS SOON as you reach 18 you are AUTOMATICALLY more mature and just happen to know what love is?

Seriously love is love and no one can tell you anything different.
If it feels good in your heart then it is the right thing to do.
Yeah 13 and 17 may seem bad just because you are used to your own age group but now you met somebody that you truly love and no one should be able to stop you!
