In Ireland, pretty much everyone speaks English. In school, Irish (Or Gaelic) is taught to students in their lessons, so everyone has some teaching of it.

The book of Kells was written by celtic monks around the year 800ad I think. It contains four gospels. the gospel of Mathew Mark Luke and John. Its famour for the illustrations in it. Its an amazing manuscript. You can get load of info on the internet. Try wikipedia and google.
