Ipod touch help please?(:

I just got an iPod touch and have a couple of questions..
can you get free music on an iPod touch 3rd gen?
if so how?
whats jailbreaking?
can you get internet anywhere?

and any other help or tips would be appreciated!

Free music- There is no 'LEGAL' way to put music on your ipod for free. But it can be done illegally just like any other ipod.. But what you can do is barrow albums from your friends and burn them into your itunes library and then sycn them to your ipod.

Jailbreaking- Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to run unofficial code on their devices bypassing Apple's official distribution mechanism, the App Store. Once jailbroken, iPhone users are able to download many applications previously unavailable through the App Store via unofficial installers such as Cydia and Icy.

I've jailbroke my Ipod and I think it's well worth it but, you have to keep in mind that there are risks that come with jailbreaking an ipod and that it cancels out your warranty.

As for the internet.. You can only go on the internet on your ipod if there is a network set up near by. Only with the iphone could you go on the internet anywhere.

If you dont already have one you should make a free itunes account so that you may download free and paid apps.

Free Music - Get a P2P file sharing program such as limewire.
Jailbreaking - allows you put third party software on your ipod - eg springoard themes, gba game emulators, custom tap tap revenge tracks etc. Voids your warranty though.
