Q: Ipod touch broken ! PLEASE HELP

Ok so this morning my ipod was working fine, when I got on the bus the screen was black (like it is when you press the sleep button) It was still on because the music was still playing. I tried pressing the sleep button, home button, and tried turning it off, but it still remains black. I tried plugging it in and it worked until 30 seconds later and did the same thing. I cant get it to work ! I tried syncing and plugging it into itunes on my computer it too, but that didnt work.
Please tell me how to fix this !!!

A: Eh, no worries. =\ This happened to me before also. Here's what you do.. But you might just lose all your info. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds.
