Internet exployer refuses to close out

I am having a problem with internet exployer. When I try to close it out, it won't close, I can click on the minus sign and it goes to the bottom but refuses to close and it is really hard to connect. I am on high speed but this is very frustrating. I...

have to shut my pc down often just to get exployer to connect a lot of times.

try pressing ctrl+alt+delete
and end the program from there
and well maybe your hard drive has way too much junk on it
clear some space
or try the disk defragmenter on start, programs, accesories then system tools
I was once told that can help

try to click it to make it go to the bottom, put the mouse on it, right click and press close

I agree with ilovemetal23 and would add:

1.Run Disc Cleanup Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disc Cleanup
2. Delete any unnecessary pics, music, documents, programs, etc you don't need
3. Go here and download free version then run a full scan
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
4. Do a search for online antivirus scanners and run 1 or 2
5. Finally, do Disc Defrag..same place as Disc Cleanup
6. Restart and enjoy!
