on an island Asked by greek3nny 5 months ago, 2 answers.

You lay there,
You don't move,
You feel insane,
Your stuck,
Your tied down,
Your not aloud to move,
Your in a insane assulym,
You feel depressed,
You are stuck in a straight jacket,
You try to tell them that your
Innocent,
They don't believe...

you,
They drug you,
They know what happened,
But they're not allowed to
speak the truth,
If they do they die,
But one day one of them slip...

what do y'all think??

There is no light and shade it's too simple. It's short sharp and to the point which is fine if that is what you were going for. I like the subject matter but I think you could elaborate a lot and do far more with it. Instead of spelling each thing out for us try to be a little cryptic. For example, instead of saying you are stuck in a straight jacket, you could say something like 'Restrained of movement you are stuck in their grasp' or something (better than that, that's off the top of my head) to make the reader try and figure out what the situation is and use their brain to interpret it. At least that's what I would do, it's your poem happy
