What age can I start to wean baby onto milk

12 months...any sooner than that and you're risking the child's health.

WHAT A LODE OR RUBBISH THEY USED TO DO IT AT 6MONTHS OLD AND THAT NEVER HURT THEM THEN MY HEALTH VIZ SAID TO ME WHEN MY SON WAS 8MONTHS OLD THAT I SHOULD PUT HIM ON THE GREEN TOP MILK FOR THE FIRST WEEK THEN MOVE HIM ON TO FULL FAT BECAUSE HE WAS SUCH A HUNGRY BABY AND HES A VERY VERY HAPPY BABY IF YOU WANT TO PUT YOUR BABY ON A MORE GROWN UP MILK YOU COULD TRY A FOLLOW ON MILK GOOD LUCK

Actually I'd go with ichi on that one. Before that use formula milk, it can be damaging to your baby's health.

I also agree with ichi...Not every child will react poorly to whole milk before 12 months, but why risk the chance...Besides, it could take a few years for the effect that the bacteria in the milk has on a baby's stomach/digestive system to show up. The same goes with giving honey or syrup to your baby before 12 months...The bacteria in any of the above can make your little one VERY sick. Your baby's little belly can't digest this type of bacteria. Just ask your doctor.
