What are indigo children?

What are these kids anyway??? are they some kind of an occult??? one website said that they are so I am really confused right now. if they areent a and occult then waht are they???

if you understand auras and the colors, indigo children are said to have an indigo aura or glow about them. (The third eye, heightened sense...)

They are supposed to be the awakened ones and have a clear vision of life and what they want from it, possibly the next level of evolution of humans with telepathy.
They describe the goal of indigo children to be a remaking of the world into one lacking war, trash and processed food.

Much of the defining traits of Indigo Children are very vague... much like when you receive a horoscope. (it can apply to everyone)

It's a bit of 'new age' mysticism mumbo-jumbo. Like the rest of it, it's all completely untested, untestable and generally BS.

I asked this question once a while ago, because my friend's mother called an indigo child. I honestly don't know that much about what qualifies them (or I suppose, us) as an indigo. But I was just curious as to why you were inquiring about them, if you don't mind me asking.

I was just wondering. I did some reasearch and it all sounds interesting
