Getting over witnessing my grampa's murder

Ok, my grampa got murderd
But I was there when it happened
I almost got killed
I saw it I ducked and well I covered my self

Ok, heres the whole story
I was walking with my pops [grandpa] and someone called his name
I told him to...

go talk to his friend and I was going to get a ice cream
So when I got back some guy was holdin a gun to him
Of cours, I was scared, my only reaction was to scream
So I yelled to him, bad idea the guys turned to me and tried to shoot me about ten times then gave up, shot him 4 times and ran off, I didnt call 911, instead I screamed for help, when a lady around my mothers age came and picked me up right up the ground and she called 911
I was 9 then
Now im 16
How can I get over this?!?!?!?!?!

well it's hard to get over something like that, exspecially to forget you were almost killed, I gues the best thing to do is to talk about it more wit the people you love, the more you talk about it, the more it will become easier for you to leave it in the past let it go. I suggest just taking it slow, don't rush trying to get over it, it takes time

omg. I am sooo sorry for you! well, my grandpa died and I know it is very hard to deal with it. so just heal with it over time and just try to find happy things in life to keep your mind on!
