Im like a "sister"

okayy so theres this guy. Hes my best friend. We use to date a while back but it was one of those middle school relationships. I really like him. We hang out all the time and flirt constantly. Theres one problem: he has a girlfriend and shes beautiful. I asked him if she cared when we hung out and he said ' no she knows your like my sister so its no big deal'.... my friends think hes using that as a cover up but I dont know what to do. Im crushed. His girlfriend is going off to college next year so I dont want to lose hope, but at the same time I just dont no what to do. advice? please?

I dont think hes covering up for anything. Your thinking because you and him dated back in middle school, you flrit, and hang out that he 'likes' you. I have tons of guy friends, that I goof around with(flirt)in fact 1 of them I dated in 7th grade!! We hang out a lot, but I see him as just a friend, nothing more! I think that your feelings are 1 sided! If he liked you, he would be dating you, not someone else! It doesnt matter if his girlfriend is going on to college next year. They can still be boyfriend/girlfriend!! I really think he just sees you as his little sister!!
