They might charge for each item separately (for instance coming from two different warehouses), but that would only explain 7.90 pounds. If you really want the items and can't find them elsewhere, you may have to accept it, and possibly complain later.
Wish I could help you better, but I don't know if there is any group you can complain to.
Good Luck !!
You could always go to their website and contact 'customer service', explain your delima (don't mention this other non-helpful contact) and maybe you can get satisfaction...Good luck !!
Answer this Question: "im confused..."

Im confused...
Send me Fun Mail
ok, I placed an order with a website, I wanted to get my son 2 items for christmas, on the site it says:
postage is £3.95 to northern ireland, only if the contents weighs less than 2 kilos...
I placed the order, and three days later they send me an email telling me they have added £10 to the price of the order for postage, I called them to ask the weight of the products and they told me the first items is .45 kilo, and the second item is .90 kilo, thats 1.35 kilo right? so why are they charging extra as my order is less than 2 kilo!! I tried to explain this to them and they told me to cancel the order if im not happy, I really want these items and cannot find them anywhere else...
is the company right or am I? im confused..
