Will 911 provide escort services if you're too drunk to drive?

I saw this on reno 911 yesterday and I was wondering if it was possible.

In California where I live - no. But there are other services (non profit) in my area that do this kind of service.

I just checked with my local Police and they said they would say 'NO', you're going to have to make other arrangements (ie: taxi, friend) - if you can't make any beforehand arrangements, be smart and Don't get that drunk.

Doubtful and irresponsible..that would take up time and resources that are saved for emergencies. You should make prior plans if you're planning on drinking that much.

They just might provide you with a police escort. 911 is supposed to be for emergencies only.

you got to remeber that reno 911 is a TV show.. If its ture or not I would say don't risk it and don't get drunk.
