If jesus..

How come, if jesus was like a superhero, didnt he just fly away instead of being killed?

As I understand it:

We all inherited original sin because of Adam Eve eating from the tree of knowledge.

God created us human than judges us as sinners for not being perfect.

All of this doesn't have to be fair because God makes all the rules.

In spite of our stain of original sin and not being perfect God loves the heck out of us anyway so he nailed his son to a tree so we don't have to go to Hell but this only works if we believe it.

I can't imagine why I ever stopped believing this.

He did, but he had to die first to be resurrected. It's not much different than when superman *almost* died but is rescued just in time by Lex Luther's secretary, or when Lois actually does die, but superman makes time go backward to rescue her.

He knew God's plan was for him to die for other people's sin. he very well could have saved himself but he knew god's plan.

thats a good point. superman is pretty powerful.

God knew the only way for us to have salvation was for the 'sacrificial lamb' to be slain. So he sent his son to be born a human and live a perfect life free of sin so that he could take upon himself all sins of all people and suffer and die for those sins. if he hadnt died for our sins, we would be doomed for hell with no chance at eternal life in heaven but Jesus paid the price for us!

I think batman's a lot cooler than jesus.

because he wanted to show the people how merciful he is.to show them that he loves them no matter what they do to him.to rise from the dead which he did.

ya, how come when he rose from the dead he wanted us to search for pretty dyed eggs hidden by a cute bunny?

batman would never do that.

god could DESTROY batman. hes only human w/ some gadgets. SUPERMAN however could probably beat jesus. not god tho..

perhaps some of you should figur out whats going on for yourselves before advising other people.
the bottom line is god sent his son, who was fully god and fully human at the same time to die for our sins.

its too complicated for us to understand because if we could understand God then he really wouldnt be much of a God now would he?

Haha, I remember even at the age of like 6 being puzzled as to the logic of these stories, it doesn't make any sense.

he could have got off the cross right then and there. he wanted to save us from our sins though becuase he loves us so much. he died so that we could have a c hance to go to heaven.

There was a plot to crucify Jesus but it did not succeed, Jesus did not die, but ascended to heaven. In the last days before the Day of Judgment, Jesus will return to this world and continue his message.

Jesus, son of Mary, was a MAN chosen by God to be a prophet and messenger to the children of Israel.
Jesus = a MAN, created by God, so don’t worship him instead of the Creator (Allah Almighty is far and above having a child or a partner in his divinity, so reject any belief that overexalts Jesus above what Allah wants him to be).
Jesus = God’s prophet, so accept his prophethood and believe in his message which is to worship God alone without any associate or partner.

Each person is responsible for his own deeds and therefore no need for anyone to sacrifice himself for mankind’s sins to get forgiveness.

Besides, when Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, they realized their disobedience and repented, then God forgave them. So the concept of original sin is WRONG.

no. he could but in some way he couldn't. that's because it's written in the bible. God gave his only Son to die for our sins so that we won't have to.

He came to die for me and you and pay our sin debt ,give us eternaal life by faith in His death ,burial and resurrection. john 3:16 , romans 10:9,10
