I don't know anymore?

I like this guy John. We've been friends and little more than andi like him. When im with him my friends say they can tell he likes me so much. When were together and our friends around my friends wil tell me later they saw us and were laughing and...

rolling their eyes bc of how close we are.. And so many people say we look great together and should go out, even people will blurt it outt to me and John. I would agree with them but after a while of hanging out he saw my best friend (emily). When we all hang out, he trys to satisfy both of us? Trying to give us the same attention.. When we all listen to songs he would turn to sing to me then turn to emilyy I dont understand.. Emily knows I like him and she wont do anything.. thats why shes the BEST she knows and wont do anything. when we text she tells me how much he's stil talking to me more than others when were hanging out with other people. and even when I say he was being the same with yu she always says he talks to me and leaves out everybody else.. I know its true but I think its just bc were better friends. Still Emily always says He really really likes you, I can tell so much, hes different around you, and he only says stuff about me when we threee are together. When were away he doesnt, hes just trying to make you jelious..

WHen she says this I dont know if shes right and I dont think she is, when I also say he doesnt like me the same way I like him she says she can see sooo much that he really likes me.. I dont know what to do.. when she says it I know shes being really serious and I know shes telling the truth, just meaning what she feelss!.. but I dont think hes trying to do what she says he is; making me jelious but mhh.. any insight.. =/

If I ever knew that a girl was obsessing this much over me, I would get in a car and drive very quickly in the other direction.

I don't mean to be overly flip or dismiss your problem, which I've no doubt seems very real and important to you, but I think it's EXTREMELY important that you stop obsessing over a boy this much and take some more time to develop a strong sense of self. I would hate to see you teeter over the edge of boy-crazydom and end up one of those girls married at 18.

Guys like girls who are strong, confident, and independent, not girls who write two pages trying to figure out whether or not a boy likes them or not.
