WATER IS THE #1 way to shed pounds. If you have obesity in your genetics it may be harder for you than if you just ate too much. You must exercise. Sweetie your goal should be to become healthy! Not to be skinny. My first step would be to love who you are! I am 5'9 and 175...and have the booty! I love myself and I decided I wanted to be healthy and if losing weight comes with it so be it. I know that black women are more comfortable woth extra meat than white women because there's so many women on t.v. with bones sticking out here and there. Id rather be plump and happy than skinny and sick. Your confidence should exude and people will catch on to that. Start by loving who you are, find someone to excerise with and compete. That's always fun. Eat your favorite fruits when you get hungry. Fast food is definitely bad for you. I tried not eating anything but fruit after 6 once for about two weeks and the results were wonderful. I drank nothing but water and not only did it help me lose weight faster, it detoxed my whole body. Be careful about losing weight to fast because you gain it bacl just as quick that's why its important to exercise to tone up. Its hard work but I encourage good health. Stretching and yoga are effective as well. Take time each day to stretch your muscles and get your blood circulating. I do that often and it keep me functioning. Well good luck and love yourself!
there are many different ways to lose weight and a different strategies work for different people. the first step even though its hard is to look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you can do it, I my self everyday ran 5 blocks, got to my block half way down did lunges then walk the rest, did 150 crunches everyday, I also ate a piece of bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner, that may not sound healthy but bread expands in your stomach and subdues the feel of hunger. I also had one piece of lunch meat (turkey) with it and drank 2 powerades and one bottle of water everyday. with this your getting most if not all your nutrients, losing weight, and getting toned. now most of the time people never get instant results I only wish! but with in a few weeks you should notice pounds shedding and your body getting weigh toned

How to LOSE weight?

How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?
One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.
But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

If we go by what our body weight should be then I would look sick. Like I said im 5'9, thick and healthy and my body weight should be like 150 or so. Yeah right, im 175 but I don't consider myself overweight because my legs are really toned and muscles weigh more than fat. don't be poisoned by all of this bull and don't let anyone tell you what you should look like!!! Feel good and get HEALTHY! Skinny is not healthy, I would go to a nutritionist and personal trainer (could be expensive) but the key is finding out what works for your body. I can tell you what works for mine but it may not work for yours. Do it timely and effectively and maintain a healthy diet and schedule that you can keep up with. I don't like to say lose weight, id rather say get healthy. You can be a little bigger and be healthy! I am healthy! Good heart, blood pressure is amazing, and I feel great. Look in the mirror everyday and love who you are 1st. God created you to be who you are. I do advise to cut down on greasy foods and sweets, sweets definitely add empty calories. But you still need sugar to convert to carbohydrates because they are your energy source. You need a adequate amount of everything...sugars, fats, oils, even bacteria! Too much of anything is always bad so be careful and be healthy!!
