I want to highlight my hair

ok so im going to get highlights at the hairdressers soon (I hope) but I was wondering does it damage your hair? and my friends say if you go swimming your hair will go green is that true? I dont want green hair hehe!!! thankyou.

it shouldnt go green no, everything damages your hair including blow drying! nothing we do to our hair is good for it! as long as you dont constantly get it died or treated you will be fine, I would suggest keeping on top of your hair with a conditioning treament which is around £3 at your salon, every 4weeks to keep it nourished and in great condition good luck

As long as you go to a professional you should be fine. And just dont color it too often and it wont do too much damage

if its done professionally it shouldn't damage your hair.if it does go green which it can and has done to me,just rub tomato sauce into your hair and leave for 5 mins and wash out bingo!blonde hair again.I also recommend to clients a purple shampoo once a week,I reccommend swarzkof touch of silver shampoo,£2.00 a bottle at most chemists and stops blonde hair turning yellow,also aussie 3 minute miricle conditioner brilliant for keeping top conditioned hair xx
