How to change my middle name?

Oookay, so I'm 16. My middle name is Alexander, and it's not that I don't like my full name but I just want to change it.
I have recently found that I like Sarah Jane better, because some people have started calling me that.
I have no idea how to...

go about doing it, or if I'm old enough. Or how much it will cost...and if I can do it in Florida. So?...

BTW, I do NOT want you to tell me that you think it's a stupid idea or bad name. I only want to know about how to do it and such.

umm...well your parents might now! my name is lauren kate but everyone calls me katie. you might also want to talk to your town hall bout it or something...u can do it in most states...florida definitly and it shudnt cost that much...it wud just need to cover the costs of the change on documents and stuff...I think...im sory if this isnt helping!!! I dont really no how you wud go about changing it!

I like both names though...but I like sarah jane better...its very pretty!
I also like sarah elizabeth, sarah rose, sarah kate and sarah nicole!!! but I like sarah jane!!!

You know you can go by whatever name you want. If you tell everyone your name is Sarah Jane that is what everyone will know you by. Only when you do official paperwork do you have to use your real legal name. I knew a gal who's first and middle name was Glorious Romonica which she hated. She went by GiGi and I only knew her real name because I saw it on a check once.

A woman I know who changed her last name spent $500 to do so. When she divorced she kept her husband's family name at the time. When you marry or divorice you can change your name for free but she didn't and years later she regretted her decision so she ponied up 5 C notes to change her name.

It would be way cheaper to just tell everyone to call you Sarah Jane (which is super cute by the way). No one has to know what your real name is. That can be just for you. Once everyone starts calling you that, it will get easier and easier.
