I want my best friend...

I want to make my best friend my boyfriend. We've been friends for 7 years and I'm worried that by going out with him if anything every happened to the relationship it would ruine our friendship....what do you think? I keep asking my friends what they think but they all say to go for it, I'm worried about that because they know all about it, I'd rather have some advice from the outside of things.

I'm in the same situation too. I want my best friend as my boyfriend. Well the thing is we did go out and everything but then he broke up with me cause this year we weren't in the same class. But we're still best friends. I still want him though. Well all I have to say is go for it. That is if you really care for him and want him. If you guys ever do break up and you guys are truely best friends then you should stay best friends

Talk to him about it. He is your best friend. And best friends share everything. Suggest the idea of you two and see what his reaction is. If he seems awkward about it don't say nothing else about it and let time pass. He will begin looking at you in a differnt light. He may actually think about being with you. If it's right then you two may get together.

I had the same problem, but I chose not to go out with my best friend because we were so close and I dthought that if we did go out our friendship would never be the same. I just think that you should choose what is best for u

Recently went through the same thing with a girl who I've known 4 5 years and we'd been great friends 4 3 of those years. It unfornatly didn't work out & the friendship isn't the same but I just think its bcause the way we broke up and I think we will eventunally go back 2 the way we were. I still say go 4 it bcause all I did before it happened was think about being with her & those thoughts will begin 2 consume you netime your with them & that would be just as awkward as telling them how you feel.
