i want a dog!!

I am a 13 year old boy and I have an 11 year old sister, we both really want a dog from the pound but with the bad economy we can't aford one, and I don't want to wait for the economy to get better, any advice?

Have you went and looked at prices?
Because I got my dog at the pound and she was only $100 with all of her needles and spaying.

You might have to wait, at least for a little while. There are plenty of expenses in having a dog, aside from the original fee to bail him out of the pound, and food. There are shots, and depending on where you live, there are monthly flea and heartworm meds...then there annual check ups.

USALLY I WOULD SAY SHELTER BUTWAT ABOUT THE FOOD AND TOYS AND VET VISITS AND SPACE. IF you REALLY LOVED DOG you WOULD NOT WANT THEM IN THAT INVIROMENT.JUST GET A HAMSTER OR SOMETHING.U DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GIVE THAT DOG AWAY THEN IT COULD BE HOUSE HOPPING.VERY SAD
