I really like you a lot or i love you ?

Me and my boyfriend been together for a year and a half and we stil odnt say I love you we say I really like you a lot and my friends tell me that it sounds kind of childish but I honestly like this guy soo soo soo much I would do anything for him and...

he would do the same for me and we both know this we stick thourhg the tough times and the good we've been through childish mistakes together and overcame them, yet we still say I really like you a lot ...
Why is this and why cant we just tell each other I love you?
Im at a confused place right now I dont know what love is and what it feels like if its anything compared to liking someone a lot a lot then it must the the greatest thing ever b/c I like him a lot and im so happy ( im even smiling while im typing this) hehe
Point blank this guy is one that I want to keep im my life.. Im just curiose to why we dont say I love you. Maybe its us?? I don't know,

well it almost seems like you guys really do love each other.
next time he says I like really like you a lot, then you should say do you love me?

and if he starts hassaling you about it then just drop it and when the right time comes then yall will be there.

usually the guy is suppost to say it first but if you really know in your heart that you love him, then your going to have to tell him first. and if he doesn't say anything back then atleast he knows how you feel

well theres love and theres in love Obviously you two love each other, but if you think your in love then tell him.
