Ok, my heart really goes out to you. When I was your age, (I am 30 now) I was in your same position, only homeschooling was not an option back then. My battle with my weight started when I was like 4 or 5 years old. See, I had a grand mal seizure when I was 3 almost 4 and I was put on this medication. The first meds that the doctor put me on, made me really hyper. The second and last med he put me on, well, made me really really hungry. Even when I wasnt. I think that my main problem was that I was being abused and I ate out of emotions, more than the medicine. I think that my parents used the meds as an excuse. Now, from about the age of 6 to my preteen years, I had tried every diet imaginable. I did everything, I cannot stress that enough. I do remember that when I was 10, I went to a weight watchers meeting and I remember the scale said 122. I do not know why I remember that number, but I do. I even went under hypnosis, I did the jenny craig thing, The diet workshop, Nutrisystem, and others. To no avail, I kept gaining weight. Then in 1989, I was institutionalized, like in an inpatient in a psychiatric hospital. That didnt work either. That just put me in touch with more people who had eating disorders that I learned from. When I entered the hospital, I was a compulsive overeater, when I left, I was bulimic. Go figure. I have battled with weight my whole life. It has been a hard and very lonely disease. I use the word disease, because that is what it is. I learned that I was addicted to food. (Among other things...) Like I said earlier, I am now 30 years old. During my late teens and early 20s, I was told that I would not be able to have any children. I found out that I had PCOS and that it was an endocrine as well as a reproductive disorder. During my research, I found out that women with PCOS, primarily gain their weight in their abdomen and they have multiple cysts on their ovaries, they have unwanted hair growth, and the loss of their menstral cycles, among other symptoms. The underlying cause is that women with PCOS, their bodies produce too much insulin. It is a type of diabeties, but I havent discovered which type. I mention this, because you said that you only eat 2 meals per day and that you do not really snack that much, so you must be wondering why you are gaining weight. Am I right? Well, like I said, I have other medical conditions that are directly affected by my weight and I am in preperations for a Gastric Bypass surgery. I know that this is a last resort, for me, but I cannot seem to loose weight. I am not an advocate for this, but I think that you should go get a complete physical and tell the doctor to see if you might have PCOS. If you get on meds...they will want to give you Glucophage (Metformin), That didnt agree with me and my intestional tract so they took me off of that and then they gave me Actos (that worked well) and I actually lost weight. I followed a diabetic diet and I did loose weight. I didnt stick with it mainly because of my insurance, but I stopped taking the meds and I went off the diet. I do know that if you drink ANY KIND of POP or SODA DIET or regular, you will be defeating the purpose of any kind of weight loss you may try. If you are drinking POP stop and you will see that you will loose like 20 lbs in a month. You do have to drink a lot of water. Personally, I Hate water!!! I can only drink it if it has ice in it and it is really really cold. Talk to your doctor about a weight loss plan. You are very heavy and something needs to be done. You may need to meet with a dietian or a nutritionist. Oh and I do not know where you live, but, I live in Pittsburgh, and it gets really cold here and I do not want to leave my house, nevertheless exercise, but I have joined my local YMCA and I joined with my boyfriend. Having someone to exercise or walk with you will help. Look, this is getting pretty lengthly so if you would like to know more, please funmail me. I would like to be your friend in this and I am here to support you in any way. Stay strong and Keep your chin up.

im sooo terrified of gym but my mom wont let me be homeschooled but next year im going to a school with only one day of school of week so yeah
im trying to I've lost 10 in 2 weeks we can exchange tips if ud like
:}
Well I would have to say Im on the same boat as you.
I really need to lose weight
I hate how I look
But yes, try to exercise 3-4 times a week
I understand that you hate running but just try a little of it
You blast calories faster
Do as much as you feel comfortable with, then walk
No hurry
The faster you lose it
The more likely you will gain it back
and more..
You dont like plain lettuce, well here
Those big lettuece leaves are only twenty calories for six
So you can have a pretty big salad to keep you full
But buy those like wishbone salad dressing sprays
There only a calorie per spray!!!
add cucumber and you like brocii add some,
Kidney beans on it is good
and like a sprinkle of parasan cheese stuff
:}
It's awesome
Promise
dear
first tip
listen to me well
you need to start knowing what is wrong with your body,,did you ever go to dietion?
this is very important start
sometimes you may need to eat less suger or less fat,,
it depends on what you eat much you have to write what is teh thing you eat so much
if its suger
and I think its
then try to lessen it even in fruits and you know what
fats dont make you fat!as carbs
carbs get stocked in yoru body as Fat
so first of all avoid one of the suger sources*bread, rice, kinda that *
then avoid the very sweetie fruits
and walk each day 30 min
ofcourse you will hate gym class cause you if you are fat you will be very tired but walking for 30 min will make you sweat well
and avoid junk food as you can
for example
make list of all junks you like ,,set them as their importance avoid eating the less important ,,and teh very important junks to you set day for them,,for example say I like (burger and french fries I will eat them on sunday just for once this week and I m strong enough to avoid eating it every 2 days*say it in loud voice, you think our brains dont hear us?its fake we can teach our brains how to help us ,
make the less important junks only in a month
lessen your suger intake slowly so you dont feel shock or become depresst
when you go to party dont go hungry,,specially fi they are serving cakes and colas
eat a big bowl of salad *the veggies you like*without dressing and drink water ,,and wait for half an hour and go
when you start to eat in resturant ,start with protin?salad/then eat some potatoes
drink fresh juice without sugar
and most important thing
avoid food all kinds of food when you are
angry
bored,
watching tv
and another hint
dont play much on playstation cause they make you sit for hours so that maybe ,,be one of the reasons
and get a blood test sometimes a thyroid make us fat ,,even when we dont eat a lot
if you have pale skin ,thin hair ,depressive mood then you need to check your thyroid
I Hope I helped you
Any form of execise is good. Go for a daily walk. Start small, and add a little more distance or a little faster time each day.
Do you like to dance? Get one of those dancing video games and use it!
Next, even though you may not be eating what seems like a lot, it may be WHAT you're eating that's the problem. Do you drink soft drinks? They're killing you. Stop. Do you drink milk or juice when you could just as easily drink water? ...again, needless calories.
The things that people commonly eat that add a lot of calories with little or no benefit, and that you should avoid almost all the time:
Soft drinks
Milk (unless you're a baby, you don't need it)
Juice (frequently just a high sugar substitute for soft drinks)
Breakfast cereals
Cheese
Processed foods
White bread
Mayonaise
Potatoes loaded with butter, sour cream or gravy
Salad dressing (use salt and lemon, or vinegar and olive oil instead)
Sauces and gravies
Chips
Fries
Ice cream
Deserts in general
'fat free' foods (they are typically loaded with sugar to compensate)
'sugar free' foods (they are typically loaded with fat or sodium)
High fat meats like sausage and hamburger
A healthy diet consists mostly of:
- fresh fruits and fresh or steamed vegetables (use spices instead of fat/sugar to make it taste better)
- nuts and beans
- whole grain bread
- baked fish, chicken, and turkey
eat salads and fruit and walk far as you can as in miles I did that all last summer and I lost 75 pounds

How to lose weight?
Send me Fun Mail
Hi. My name's Lauren, and I'm 13. I'll be 14 in July. I'm homeschooled, because, well...School just wasn't my thing. I have no need to go to prom or homecoming. If I really wanted to, I could just go with my friends. Mostly I don't like the kids. Everyone's a complete jackass and I don't see how it will get any better after junior high. The other part is...I'm absolutely and entirely terrified of gym class. I know. I sound like a real coward, but whatever. Anyway...
This is going to be really gross for you...So don't laugh. I weigh around 240. I really want to be skinny, but first of all, I don't know what weight I should be. I don't want to be skinny like a model, but I don't want to be huge like I am now, you know? I've read a lot of stuff that tells you how to lose weight, but I still don't understand. It's as if I don't get enough detail. All anything really says is, "excersize and eat healthier." Well, I eat pretty healthy. I don't snack much and I usually only have two meals a day -- Lunch and dinner. I skip breakfast because I wake up kinda late. But when I do snack on things, it's usually fruit. I hate vegetables. I cannot stand them. They taste horrible. The only ones I like are broccoli, green beans, corn, and lettuce. But I don't like eating lettuce alone...Anyway...And when I eat lunch and dinner, it's not usually ever very big. I don't tend to eat that much. It's not that I'm TRYING not to eat so much, I just don't. And I don't know if this has to do with my weight, but my sleep schedule is really weird. I usually go to sleep around 2 AM - 4 AM and wake up around 11 - Noon.
And about being terrified of gym...Well...I'm generally just terrified of sports. I hate running and I hate being competitive. But I like just walking and riding my bike. Rollerblading is sometimes okay. And other than that I don't know what to do. Do you think any of you could tell me what sort of stretches or routine I should get into? Anything you can think of to help. Thanks!
