I need to know this song

Ok, so for the last week at work I've been coming in at 4am and opening the gym. So there is this song I really like and I want to find it.

But!!! I dont know the name of the song or artist!!

The artist is a black woman, fairly young very very...

short hair, has a beautiful soft but kinda high pitch tone to her voice.

The main chorus has back up singers leading up to where she says something that sounds like

your love keeps me alive
But I'm guessing thats isn't it...

In the video she is walking down the street singing and there are club scenes and she is a dj...

But I am so unlucky that every time the song title goes on the screen I am too busy or cant see it from where I'm standing...its a late 90's song..please help!! Lol
