I don't really feel like listening to any form of rock at the moment... anything other than that would be great. =]

Go with some soul and funk from the 70s. Try KC the Sunshine Band, the Bar Kays, and even some Ike and Tina. It was good music, much better than the mindless, bubble-gum sh*t that hits the airwaves these days.
