be open and friendly. don't turn off or try anything to it in. I know it sounds like you heard it so many times before, but it's just. just because you made a friend(s) it doesn't mean you should make other(s)... keep that on mind
Just be yourself. Starting in a new enviroment is hard for most people. When I moved around from high school to high school, I was very quiet at first. I am a very loquacious person, but I just kind of shut off when I was in new places. I learned to just talk to people I thought was interesting, if they were nice and talked back to me then it would go from there. The good thing about being quiet is you have your ears open and you can see and hear what is going on around you. Judge for yourself who you would like to talk to, and then eventually make a step to do so. Remember just because you are shy, doesn't mean that other people aren't shy either. Breaking the ice is a very hard thing for people to do, just in general. Be natural, don't try to hard, and just have fun. School is fun, enjoy it while you still got it :D

How can I make friends at school?
so I've been home-schooled all my life and this year my mom put me in school full time (high-school). Uasaly I'm a realy talkative person but when I go to school I just turn off. What are some ways to make friends at a place like school?
