I need an a apartment?

Me Asked by booger_ball about 1 month ago, 24 answers.

I'm running away to Dallas to start a modeling career, and I need a place to stay. Anybody know of a place for young girls making thee own living? I can pay $50 a month.

So, what, you're expecting a modeling agency to sign a 13-year-old with no legal guardians? Exactly how many child-labor laws are you expecting people to break for you so you can have a career?

Unless you are legally emancipated, absolutely no one is going to hire a child without their parents' consent. It's massively, incredibly, enormously illegal. No one reputable, anyway. I'm sure you'll be able to find a few people to take photos of you for cash, but I doubt they will be the kind of photos you will enjoy modeling for.

And while I'm sure $50 a month sounds like a lot of cash to you right now, you will never, ever find an apartment or room in a major city for that small amount of money. I have a friend in Queens, for instance, who is sharing one bedroom with two other girls, and they are each paying $600 a month. New York is an extreme example, I know, but you have to be more realistic when you're planning on living on your own. $50 a month won't even cover your food costs, let alone rent.

Don't do it. While you might make it, odds are, you'll end up messed up or worse.

Why Dallas? What kind of modeling? 50 dollars a month? ru serious? That may cover only one day stay at a cheap motel.

Here is a good place too start and you don't have to go anywhere. http://www.newfaces.com/

And how were you planning at 13 to even be able to make $50 dollars as a runaway?

Your 'plan' has made it quite clear, that you're FAR too naive to be out on your own...

Umm...

A young girl all out in the big city on her own...to start a modeling career why such ambition!

...well you probaly can get a place to stay for $50...

...the problem is...

... you'll be paying the rest of it through other means...if you dont know what this means nor have the understanding to realize the gravity of it all...I suggest you dont try to runaway...cant believe you even used that term...it's not some type of fantasy world you run too...it's reality...

You missed the point entirely. You're not thinking RATIONALLY, as usual.

***pls don't take one sentence and attack me from it can't you just ge the whole picture***

The whole picture, is this: intentionally or not; you're encouraging an impressionable 13yr-old girl to runaway from home, and supplement her rent expense by ''other means'' ...what exactly do you think that could lead to?

Again, THINK before you speak.

I am not ENCOURAGING her I am simply offering her a picture of what reality may be IF she does CHOOSE to runaway to Dallas!

That's like getting angry over a graphic drunken driving ad on TV thats sends out a message of how dangerous it is to drink while driving.

The means to potray it is graphic and vivid but guess what ITLL KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO YOU!

You ARE encouraging her; because she WANTS to go, and you're giving her a method (a highly IMMORAL one) of doing so.

***That's like getting angry over a graphic drunken driving ad on TV thats sends out a message of how dangerous it is to drink while driving.***

No it isn't. Those TV commercials at least list some possible CONSEQUENCES. You didn't provide ANY...

***The means to potray it is graphic and vivid but guess what ITLL KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO YOU!***

Idiot, you have NO BUSINESS giving advice to naive and impressionable 13yr-old girls, when you're too naive (and crazy) to even think straight for YOURSELF.

Excuse me if I wanted to go to a country and SOMEBODY told me it was possible but it's a war zone...don't you think I'd add both of that together and conclude that I CANNOT GO INTO THAT COUNTRY BECAUS IT IS NOT SAFE.

I admitt to being an idiot for actually REPLYING to all your dumba*ss comments and for that I AM GUILTY AS CHARGED!

What I do best is THINK CLEARLY, a concept you're no doubt unfamiliar with.

Anytime you say something that's wrong... I'll tell you.
Anytime you say something that's crazy... I'll tell you.
Anytime you say something that's stupid... I'll tell you.
Anytime you act like an idiot... I'll tell you.

And if you disagree with that... I'll tell you WHY.

I have a fairly consistent track record on this site. So if I disagree with you, its usually because YOU'RE WRONG.

So are you implying that YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT...oh my God...can I have your cell number I can call you ..ill call you to check what name I should give my cat...I wouldnt wanna be wrong...no we cant have that can we?

So tell me something if you have the right to tell me when I act like an idot ..umm..who gets to tell you when you act like an idiot?

After all personal attacks are idiotic...so is negativity...self righteoussness...and yeah you so full of it!

Save your track record to impress half the woman on this site.

Get what? You were vague, unspecific. And what makes you think she'd even read that far?

***So are you implying that YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT***

I said 'usually' ...not 'always'... idiot.

***who gets to tell you when you act like an idiot?***

...me...

***After all personal attacks are idiotic...***

Only when they're unfounded... too bad for you...

***Save your track record to impress half the woman on this site.***

That was random, pointless, and stupid... your trademark, I guess?

umm maybe because... in your own words ***she WANTS to go*** so naturally she'll have an interest to actually READ the answers to her OWN question.

People (teenagers in particular) often come to this site, and ask questions JUST to get the answers THEY WANT TO HEAR. The don't really want advice, they just want someone to agree with them. That in their mind, justifies their thoughts or opinions.
