I need advice on dating

So I’ve never actually ever been in a relationship and every time I think I want one I get my heart broken my last almost relationship ended with the guy I liked sleeping with one of my friends at a party I was at ..we never did anything but it still hurt. Anyways I like taking things slow I realized and be friends first so I guess I’m not really the dating kind of girl. Anyways I’ve been asked by a few guys to go on dates and such but I always chicken out for some reason thinking they won’t accept me or just ending up hurt. Recently this guy I find attractive has asked me out and he is a sweetheart I don’t want to blow him off but I’m really scared. I don’t want to complain or anything I just really have no idea what to do any advice. How do I get over my bad dating skills

I’m the same way as you, but I’ve only dated once and never really had the guts to do it again out of fear that I’ll be rejected or used or that he’ll just walk out because I don’t look good enough or something like that…well basically, that he won’t accept me. What you should do (and I should really take my own advice too lol) is just go. Don’t think about the bad stuff that can happen, just be completely open to the guy and go. The thing that really gets to you is probably the idea that you are afraid that they won’t accept you or you’ll just end up getting hurt. You need to just forget that and go on the date with the guy, especially if you think he is a sweetheart. You never know if the next guy you date will be a keeper and if you blow him off, you’ll never know. Just relax and forget the bad stuff and have fun and enjoy his company. Gosh…I should really take my own advice LOL!
